Is Vin Scully the Greatest Baseball Announcer of All-Time?

At the tender age of 88, Vin Scully will soon be calling his last major league baseball game. Fittingly, the Dodger's play-by-play man will be at AT&T Park, where LA will be playing their archrivals, the San Francisco Giants to end the season and his illustrious career. Scully, who broke into the business under the tutelage of the "'Ol Redhead" Red Barber in Brooklyn, is considered by many the finest play-by-play voice of all time. Who are your Top 5 play-by-play baseball announcers? Here are mine:

1- Vin Scully

2- Jack Buck -- Cardinals

3- Bob Prince -- Pirates

4- Chuck Thompson -- Orioles

5- (Tie) Harry Caray -- Cubs and Ernie Harwell -- Tigers

Scully's use of the English language was legendary and he could turn a phrase better than anyone. I mention Scully in my novel, "A Season With Hope" which is now available on Google Play. https://play.google.com/store/books/details/Drew_Alan_Wathey_A_Season_With_Hope?id=CymsDAAAQBAJ&hl=en

Baseball is getting into the dog days of summer and the pennant races are heating up. Let me know who you enjoy or enjoyed listening to the most on radio or on TV.
